Design & Renovation for design studio
The mission of the architecture and design studio GORKOVENKO is to create art that people want to engage with and live alongside — art that inspires the creation of something new and beautiful.
Our goal for this project was to fill the website with unique elements, making it special and standing out among the rest, as well as to create a version of the site for international users.

Work Process
The GORKO VENKO project is one of those cases where we didn’t build the website from scratch. Instead, the client came to us to enhance their existing site by adding creativity and interesting details, as well as improving the English version and the mobile version.
Working with Grigory and his studio was a real test of our professionalism. Grigory is world-famous for his outstanding art installations and interiors, so our task was to come up with and develop elements that would captivate and impress users.
So, what did we come up with and implement?
Section: About the Studio
For the “About the Studio” page, we created more than three layout options to find the best combination of images, composition, and animations. Then, we edited the necessary video clips into GIF animations and kept the versions that resonated most with our client.
Section: Interiors
In the “Interiors” section, you’ll find a smooth carousel with subtle innovative details that appear when you hover over items. By the way, the cursor itself deserves special mention — throughout the site, it takes on different shapes, each one our interpretation of the distinctive design forms found in Grigory’s work, created under his close guidance. This way, we constantly reference his artistry, infusing the site with the owner’s ideas and creativity.
On the Interiors page specifically, the cursor guides users by showing that the carousel of the designer’s projects can be controlled simply by hovering. Depending on how far you move the cursor to the side, not only does its design and animation change, but also the scrolling speed. We implemented this feature so that both laptop users with touchpads and desktop users with mice can experience the site’s design differently, creating their own personalized interaction experience.
We implemented the idea of drawing shapes in the transitions between sections to further emphasize the individuality inherent in Grigory’s projects, as well as to diversify the space and make it more engaging for users during page load times.
Section: Publications
This is an important part of the client’s business — publications represent recognition, and this recognition comes from various major magazines. The content for this section is simple and straightforward: covers and spreads from print editions, as well as links to articles in digital versions.

Video Section
News updates, improvements to the homepage, video content, site load optimization — these are just a few of the tasks we tackled on this project.

Result
In addition to improving technical aspects, the website now fully reflects the studio’s mission and vision. Creative details provide a nod to the unique style found in Grigory Gorkovenko’s interior designs.
